4.2 First article inspection. When a first article sample is required
(see 3.2), first article inspection shall be performed in accordance with
table IV.
4.3 Conformance inspection. Conformance inspection shall include the
examinations in accordance with table V.
4.4 Examination. Each detector shall be examined for compliance with the
requirements specified in section 3 (see table III).
4.4.1 Sampling. The sample size of examination shall be determined from
table III, column 2. The sample size for test shall be determined by table
III, column 3. A sample shall consist of one or more mine detectors drawn
from a lot or batch, the units of the sample being selected at random without
regard to their quality. A lot shall be accepted when zero defects are found
and rejected when one or more defects are found.
