PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION
DETECTOR, MINE, METALLIC, PORTABLE
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of
the Department of Defense.
1.
SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification establishes the performance requirements
for the portable metallic mine detector.

APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS (Not applicable to this specification)
3.
REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Description. The detecting set shall consist of a metallic-mine
detector packaged in a transport case. The metallic mine detector shall
consist of a search head, associated electronic components, a power supply,
connecting cables, a collapsible handle and a headset. Throughout this
military specification, the metallic mine detector will be referred to as the
detector.
3.2 First article. When specified (see 6.2), a standard sample shall be
subjected to first article inspection (see 6.3) in accordance with 4.2.
